Kransell & Wennborg Patent Attorneys Johan Wennborg and Anders Wirén are Global Leaders in the patent profession according to the research of IAM.
This is how IAM describes this award:
To qualify for inclusion in IAM Global Leaders, individuals must be ranked in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, the market-leading annual directory that identifies the top law and attorney firms and individuals in the world’s most important patent jurisdictions.
To put the IAM Patent 1000 together, our full-time research team gathers hundreds of written submissions from firms detailing their recent activities, as well as conducting face-to-face and telephone interviews, and exchanging correspondence over a four-month period, with patent lawyers, attorneys and their clients. The detailed data collected forms the basis of the rankings published in the directory.
All those listed as IAM Global Leaders merit special attention not only because of their expertise and experience relating to creating, protecting, managing, transacting and enforcing critical patent rights, but also for their ability to innovate, inspire and go above and beyond to deliver for their clients.

According to Managing Intellectual Property’s (MIP’s) ranking, Kransell & Wennborg is a Tier 1 firm. This was expected as MIP earlier this year announced that we are Sweden’s best patent firm according to their research, but we are still delighted about the news.

Again, Kransell & Wennborg is listed as a top-tier patent prosecution firm in the IAM Patent 1000 rankings. Further, no less than seven of our attorneys are individually listed as recommended experts: Daniel Fritsche, Martin Holmberg-Schwindt, Roland Mezöfi, Magnus Nilsson, Oscar Sewerin, Johan Wennborg and Anders Wirén. We proudly thank our clients and peers for recommending us.
IAM Patent 1000 states the following:
”There are many reasons as to why Kransell & Wennborg is a premium prosecution outfit, the main one being its service level. The team gets to know clients’ business structures in order to deliver focused and commercially viable advice. To top it off, they are well connected on an international level, which is a major advantage.” Such high praise is not anomalous – the firm receives the most accolades of any Swedish outfit”

Kransell & Wennborg has won the award “Firm of the year” in the category “Patent prosecution” for Swedish firms. The award is based on research (mainly interviews with clients) conducted by the publication Managing Intellectual Property. Since this is probably the most prestigious award a Sweden patent firm can get, we are very proud. Further, three of our attorneys, Daniel Fritsche, Johan Wennborg and Anders Wirén, have received the “Patent Star” award for individuals.
