About us Kransell & Wennborg was founded in Stockholm in 1968 and grew steadily, though slowly, during its first 40 years. Around 2010, growth accelerated, and an office in Gothenburg was opened in 2013. Today, in terms of turnover, Kransell & Wennborg is Sweden’s third-largest patent firm. In addition, Kransell & Wennborg has been named Sweden’s best patent firm several times by Managing IP and has received numerous other awards.

We believe this development can be attributed to a number of success factors:
  • Kransell & Wennborg adapts to the client, not the other way around.
  • The employees who know the clients also manage the firm.
  • We give our employees significant responsibility, substantial influence, and great freedom.
  • Most things improve with fewer internal meetings — but you can always interrupt a colleague.
  • We care more than most about high quality deliveries.
  • We value traditional patent consultancy assignments highly and take pride in mastering them.
Services Kransell & Wennborg is a consultancy firm specializing in intellectual property.

In the patent field, we have expertise in all technical areas and handle all types of assignments. This means we work to protect inventions through novelty searches, patent applications, responses, and defense against oppositions. Furthermore, we minimize the risk of infringing on competing patents through monitoring activities, freedom-to-operate analyses, and infringement assessments and oppositions. We also assist with license negotiations and contract drafting. When a patent dispute proceeds to court, we collaborate with selected law firms. In addition, we offer strategic advice and training to help our clients take full advantage of the patent system.

We offer corresponding services for design protection and trademarks as well.

At Kransell & Wennborg, we welcome both European Patent Attorneys and candidates with some years of experience in the patent field who are not yet EPAs.

You may currently be working as a patent attorney at another firm, as a patent engineer in industry, as an examiner at a patent office, or at a search company – regardless of background, what matters most is that you bring drive, curiosity and strong analytical skills. If you are not yet an EPA, we encourage you to aim for the EQE – and we will support you on that journey.

With us, you will work on a wide variety of assignments – from large international corporations to smaller startup companies. Our cases cover many different technical fields, making the work both stimulating and diverse. The assignments range from strategic advice to the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, analyses, and intellectual property counselling.

What we value most is that you take responsibility – for your own work, for your client relationships, and for contributing to the development of the firm. Our clients are always at the centre, and at Kransell & Wennborg this means that everyone works directly with clients. You know how to balance their needs against legal boundaries so that your work holds up both at delivery and many years later. While you will work independently, you will always have colleagues close at hand for discussions and exchange of experience.

We do not believe in a structure where managers control every detail. Instead, we offer a collegial culture built on freedom, responsibility and collaboration. We also provide great flexibility in where the work is carried out – at home or in the office – and we trust you to find the right balance.

As a patent paralegal at Kransell & Wennborg, you will be an important part of our team, working closely with our attorneys in direct contact with clients, international associates, authorities and patent offices.

You will play a central role in handling and driving patent cases forward – from filing to grant and throughout the full lifecycle of a patent.

We are looking for someone who is accurate, structured and has a few years of experience as a patent paralegal or in a similar role. You may currently be working at another firm, in industry, or at a patent office. Most important is that you are interested in intellectual property and have a natural sense of order and reliability in processes.

Everyone at our firm works directly with clients, and as a paralegal you will build your own relationships and play a key role in creating long-term value. You work independently, but always in close cooperation with colleagues, and you will find both support and exchange of experience when needed. You will work on a wide variety of assignments – from large international corporations to smaller startup companies.

We offer a collegial culture where freedom, responsibility and collaboration are at the core. You will also have great flexibility in where the work is performed – at home or in the office – and we trust you to find the right balance.
