Tomas Eriksson is a patent attorney with Kransell & Wennborg since 2012 and focuses his practice on consultation, drafting and prosecution of patent applications relating to information technology, electronics, computer and electrical engineering. He has experience of international, European, Swedish, US and other national application, opposition and appeal procedures, patentability assessments and issues relating to infringements. He has also experience from in-house consultation and as a tutor and educator. Before joining Awapatent AB as a patent attorney (2007-2012) he spent several years conducting research in the fields of digital and wireless communications (information theory; source coding, joint source-channel coding, and modulation) and signal processing (image and video compression). He is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed journal papers and articles in conference proceedings.
