Anders Hansson joined the firm in 2019 after a period as IPR Commercialization Manager in Ericsson IPR & Licensing’s patent assertion team, which coordinates litigation, negotiates in- and out-licensing agreements and develops the company’s portfolio of standard-essential patents. Anders is a part-time Technically Qualified Judge in the Unified Patent Court (UPC) of the European Union. He has also served as technical judge in Swedish patent infringement and invalidation actions, in first and second instance, and also as technical advisor to litigators. Certainly Dr Hansson has the inter partes mindset, but he assists Kransell & Wennborg’s clients at all stages from evaluation of an invention, application drafting, prosecution, up to grant and post-grant proceedings. His technical areas include telecommunications, physics applied mathematics, media coding, signal processing, IT security, human–computer interfaces and electric power technology.
